The mission of the Friends of Tarrywile Park, Inc. is to work in concert with the Tarrywile Park Authority to support preservation, enhancement and utilization of the Park’s grounds and facilities. Friends of Tarrywile Park, Inc. conducts activities to create community awareness of the park and its programs as well as to raise funds to provide the financial support necessary to preserve and improve the park’s grounds and buildings. A prime objective of the organization is to create support and raise the extra funding necessary to implement the recommendations of the Tarrywile Park Master Plan.
Friends of Tarrywile Park, Inc. has received status as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation by the Internal Revenue Service which means that all contributions to the organization qualify as tax deductions for the purposes of Federal income taxes. The organization solicits gifts of funds, materials, equipment, services and bequests to support the enhancement of the park and implementation of recommendations in the Tarrywile Park Master Plan of Development.
The Friends of Tarrywile Park, Inc. have embarked on a campaign to raise funds to address immediate needs for improvements of the park and to establishment an endowment fund that will provide an on-going source of funding for future park preservation and enhancement initiatives. The organization provides an effective means for the public to play an active role in ensuring the future viability of Tarrywile Park through efforts to support historic preservation, restoration and enhancement of the Park’s structures, grounds and programs.
